IUE-CWA Gets Seat on GM Commmittee

IUE-CWA is one of 15 members on the official Unsecured Creditors Committee in the General Motors bankruptcy case. The Division joins the United Auto Workers and the Steelworkers in presenting the voice of workers and retirees to the committee.
"We are pleased the U.S. Trustee recognized the important role labor plays in resolving this bankruptcy," said IUE-CWA President Jim Clark. "We have different needs than other members, inlcuding other unions, and now have an opportunity to make sure those concerns are heard directly."
