IUE-CWA Thanks Ohio Delegation as GM Settlement Approved

DAYTON – With Judge Gerber today giving the federal bankruptcy court's blessing to the IUE-CWA/General Motors settlement, the Division thanked those in the Ohio delegation for their efforts to achieve justice for auto retirees.
"We truly appreciate all you have done," said IUE-CWA President Jim Clark to those who pleaded the retirees' plight to the highest levels of GM and government leadership.
The Division especially highlights the support of Sen. Sherrod Brown, Rep. Tim Ryan in Warren and Rep. Mike Turner in Dayton for pushing the government and GM to increase the offer, fix pensions for Delphi retirees and secure a claim for post-65 retirees.
