Joint Bargaining Brings Strength of 2 Million to GM Table

Negotiators from the Steelworkers and Electrical Workers joined IUE-CWA at the bargaining table today as they fought to save health care for General Motors retirees.
Meeting in Detroit at GM headquarters, the unions have come together to fight for parity in the health care coverage offered for GM hourly retirees. Currently, retirees of the three unions are being offered a catastrophic plan that is unaffordable for the typical retiree.
