First Contract Reached at Meridian

Members of Fowlerville, Mich. Local 555 won a first contract in February 2007 in bargaining that started last June shortly after they voted to join IUE-CWA.

Workers won wage increases, an additional holiday and double time after 12 hours and on Sunday.

The company, Meridian Automotive Systems, also agreed to dues and COPE check-off.
