Local 336 Gains Pact

Local 336 members ratified a new contract at Peerless Winsmith that addressed continuing concerns regarding downsizing.

The company assured members that they had no intention of layoffs at the 100-year-old facility.

Members gained increases in wages, vacation and personal time.

They also were able to maintain their current health care coverage rather than being forced into the company's plan.

The 22 members manufacture gears used to control the speed of electric motors.
