Calling All Delegates
2008 is a key election year. Though many have been riveted by the presidential nomination process, we are having elections right here in our union as well.
During the IUE-CWA Division Conference we will hold elections for our three trustees, including the Trustee Chair. That election takes place Saturday. Then, on Monday, during the CWA Convention, elections will be conducted for the president of the Division, your CWA vice president and CWA’s top three positions: president, secretary-treasurer and executive vice president. Our workshops will focus on the basics to help your local function better and meet its responsibilities. These include: COPE fundraising where we will have a peer-to-peer panel talk about how they have been successful; legal advice on what officers need to know to meet the myriad of federal requirements governing unions; and a new mobilization program to build member unity and strength before and during contract talks.

All delegates, alternates and guests should be preregistered or we cannot guarantee kit materials.
This year there is a $20 per person charge for the reception. Please send in your check with your
registration form.
