IUE-CWA Edward Fire Scholarship 2021-22 Application

Please attach a brief statement in a Microsoft Word document (no more than 500 words) on how this class will help you and your IUE-CWA local union.
The Edward Fire Continuing Education Scholarship is available to any IUE-CWA officer or member enrolling in continuing union education classes at a college-affiliated continuing education labor program such as, but not limited to, the Bonnie Ladin Union Skills Training Program or the University of Wisconsin School for Workers. The scholarship covers continuing education classes that will help a trade unionist develop and strengthen his or her skills in such areas as collective bargaining, arbitration, organizing and other topics that improve the member’s ability to be active and contribute to the strength and growth of the union. In addition to lost time, the scholarship covers tuition, room and board and reasonable transportation costs.

Your statement must be proofread and edited and saved as an M.S. Word document titled firstname_lastname.doc (fill in the applicant’s first and last names) and uploaded to the website with the application. If the essay is received in any other format, the essay will be rejected.
